We publish The Ledger because AI-enabled media workflows demand infrastructure the industry doesn't have yet: trust and provenance.
That's what we build. Somantix is a system of record for AI use in production: project owners set policy, contributors disclose at the file level, and every delivery carries a verifiable account of how it was made and which provider terms were in force at the time. (Knowing when those terms change is exactly what The Ledger is for.)
The EU AI Act and California's SB 942, both operative in 2026, are making AI provenance and disclosure a legal requirement, not a best practice.
